Yemen Mocha
- Item #: 13
Often simply called Mocha (also spelled Mokha, Mocca, or Al-Mahka) because trying to differentiate between the small sub-regions where coffee is grown in Yemen would be too complicated, Yemeni coffees are some of the most distinct and prized coffees in the worlds. The coffee that is exported is the oldest in stock, while coffee sold to local buyers is often given to them in the pod (a dried cherry) and is most often stored in underground caverns. Though none are certified organic, Yemeni coffees are grown so out of tradition. They are usually earthy, complex, milk-chocolatey, nutty, and have a buttery body.
